Description

This bowl is from France. It was a gift received in the Idaho Merci Train boxcar. It is an example of other ceramic and porcelain dishes sent in Idaho's Merci train collection. The Roullet Renoleau Pottery company started in 1896 originally named A. Renoleau. The company was changed its name in 1930 to Roullet Renoleau. The company is in its fourth generation still stationed in Angouleme.
Large white decorative bowl. Gold painted porcelain is wrapped around the rim of the bowl through wide silts in the sides. The base is white painted porcelain with a large and open base. Bottom of the bowl has French inscription written in black ink. Gold painted porcelain weaves in and out of the bowl. The bowl has wide base and opens up more at the top. Wide silts in the side of the bowl and gold painted porcelain weaves in and out of the rim.
