Medal. commemorative
Brass medal with ribbons and attached oval frame. “Association Natinale des Croix de Guerre, Group de Paris,” handwritten in oval. Two ribbons are attached to the back of the oval; red, white, and blue striped ribbon, and a green and red striped ribbon. Medal is meant to be on the edge of a table or stand. A star hangs down from the frame with swords crossed in it with small picture in brass in the center of the star. The back is 90 degrees from the star to set on table top, with star in brass on the center.

Blue and Gold Ashtray
Ashtray
Blue and gold ceramic ashtray in the shape of shield. On the top the outside edges are blue with ripples on the top left and bottom right, presumably for cigarettes. Cut out in the center for ash is painted gold with a cross of Loraine. The back of the ashtray is unpainted with a maker’s information stamped on the back in light blue.
Inscription: “Creation claude perrot distribution sofracor” stamped in light blue on bottom right.

Bookends in a “L”shape. The end of the bookends have thin leaves etched into the wood. There is a screw in the back of each bookend to hold the bust on the other side. 1/ One of two wooden book ends with a bust of a man with hat on in traditional dress. He bust has a stern look on his face. 2/ The other end of the book end is the bust of a woman wearing a bonnet and in traditional dress. She has a stern look on her face.
Inscription: “Van” etched in the side of both busts.

Novelty
Possible brass and copper bookmark in a small sword-like shape. The novelty is attached to three sheets of paper by string.
Inscription: On the front of the paper hand written in black ink, “ Souvenir form Verdun-1916” “Maker is “C-bus” by French soldier.” On the back is written “I wish it given to American soldier who was come in France in 1918 and who lives in North Carolina Mm Bousevres 1917… Paris.” Part of the inscription is illegible.

Broach
Brass broach depicts an angel fighting a dragon. The angel is encircled in the dragon’s tail. Pin attached on the back. A gold string tied to a pin attaches a small piece of paper to the broach.
Inscription: The paper attached has written in pen “Don de Monsieour Maurice Quef Graveur en Medailes 11 rue Courtline Meaux (Seine et Marne).

Bull Fighter Figurine

Ceramic figurine of a bull fighter and bull. Bull fighter is in traditional dress in gold with red tie and sash with a black hat. He is holding a sword toward the bull and waving a red flag. The bull is gold and brown, it is in a charging stance toward the bull fighter. The figures stand on a black plastic rectangle. The bottom of the stand is leather.
Inscription: “San Sebastian,” front left corner.

Cheques Postaux, Paris 756.83 Telephone, EToile 28-32." The letter describes the medal:"This picture a part of a painting by Ch. GARRY shows two wounded soldiers walking forwards to a first aid spot. The French sustaining the American eye-injured symbolises both American-French friendship and solidarity gathering all eye-injured veterans. The painting belongs to the EYE-INJURED WAR-VETERANS-Appointed of Public Utility 5 th July 1930 th-. It is to be shown at the headquarter. It was received a price at the first post World War I painting exhibition. It received several prices more included the American Standfort Saltus Price for a War Picture."
History:
History is described in the in paper included with the artifact. It comes from Paris France. The medal describes the friendship between the French and Americans since WWI.
Exterior: Dark red leather case brass button on the front to open the case. Case is hinged on the back allowing it open and display the medal inside
Interior: Inside bottom is yellow velvet with a yellow ribbon the bottom and yellow satin on the top. Rectangle brass commemorative medal. The front has leaves and berries on a branch on the left side of the medal and inscription in French on the right. On the back is a picture of a French and American soldier with a French inscription above and below the picture. White paper with blue print and letter head explaining the medal.

Coaster
Wooden disk with a smoother back and engravings on the side in a wavelike pattern. Top of coaster wood is three rings carved in on the outer edge. The center is white ceramic with a large flower pattern. Center of the flower is blue. Each petal has five blue dots a small dot in the center with four small lines coming out of it to separate the other four dots. Petals are outlined in a light brown connecting at a black dot. Outside of petals are lined with small yellow and black lines.

1-Rectangle burgundy box with lid, white on the inside. /2-Rectangle burgundy velvet board with inset for 6 medals. Insets have ribbon on the bottom to pull the medal out. Back is burgundy leather with wing on the back to hold up the display of medals. /3- Bronze medal depicts “General Dwight D Eisenhower,” his name surrounds the edge of the medal. Five stars under the “General” and the US coat of arms behind his image. On the back is a French inscription. /4-Bronze medal depicting a battle scene on water and land “Capitulation de New York” on the top. The back depicts three generals “Washington=De Grasse-Tilly=Rochambeau=MDCCLXXXI-MCMXXXI.” /5-Bronze medal with general in traditional dress in the center. “Joanni Pavlo Jones Classis Praefecto Comitta Americana” around his image. The back depicts a battle on the sea with traditional boats. The center boat is broken in two. /6-Bronze medal depicting a building on a water front. “Auro Argento /Eri Flando Feriundo - /edes /EDIFICATE- M-DCC-LXX-” French inscription on the back. /7- Bronze medal depicting “GENERAL GEORGES S. PATTON” and his name around his picture. The back depicts a tank in a landscape scene. “CHAMPANGE, LUXEMBOURG, ALSACE, ALLEMAGNE- NORAMDIE, BRETAGNE ANJOU, ARDENNES. 1944-1945” around the edge. /8- Bronze medal depiction George Washington. “GEORGE WASHINGTON SVPREMO DVCI EXECITVVM ADSERTORI LIBEERTATIS- COMITIA AMERICANA.” The back depicts a traditional battle scene. “HOSTIBUS PRIMO FUGATIS” above the battle scene.
