Description
One of two cords received in the Idaho Merci Train Boxcar. A friendship cord tied in a knot representing the friendship of the United States and France.
Exterior: Clear plastic case holding the Friendship Cord. The cord sits on a flat rectangle plastic piece with inserts to hold the top of the case in place. The top of the case is a tall dome covering the tied cord and paper inserts. Unattached to the artifact is a small rectangle paper with same detailed description in English.

Interior: Several red, white, and blue threads twisted together and tied into one knot to create a cord. The cord is glued to the base of the case. Small paper depicting a torn black and white American flag in front of the Eiffel tower with a yellow description in French on the top. There is an orange two part emblem in front of the flag and tower. An additional small rectangle paper with detailed description in English. Paper has a gold border.
